versija statusas T sritis informatika apibrėžtis ↑Aparatinės arba ↑programinės įrangos, duomenų rinkinio arba ↑dokumento modifikacija. Programų versijos žymimos numeriais arba numerių grupėmis, skiriamomis taškais, pavyzdžiui, 3, 3.1, 3.1.2. Numeris po taško reiškia versijos prieš tašką modifikaciją. Dalis versijų skirtos tik testavimui (↑alfa versija, ↑beta versija, ↑kandidatinė versija). Trumpalaikių (vienadienių) versijų žymėjimo paskutinis skaičius dažnai reiškia jų sukūrimo datą (pvz., 3.1.3.20020401). Platinamų programų versijos dar vadinamos ↑laidomis. Tai būtų tikslesnis terminas, nes „versijas“ dažniau suprantame kaip tuo pat metu išleidžiamus to paties gaminio variantus (pvz., profesinė versija ir buitinė versija). Tačiau daugelis programinės įrangos gamintojų prie programos pavadinimo rašo tarptautinį žodį „version“ ir tik mažuma (pvz., bendrovė „Lotus“) rašo „laidą“ atitinkantį anglišką žodį „release“. Todėl verčiant programinę įrangą tenka prisitaikyti prie jų autorių vartojamų terminų („versija“ arba „laida“), o originalios programinės įrangos gamintojams geriau pasirinkti „laidą“. pavyzdys(-iai) dokumento versija, nemokama versija, programos versija. atitikmenys: angl. build; version ryšiai: dar žiūrėk – alfa versija dar žiūrėk – aparatinis dar žiūrėk – beta versija dar žiūrėk – dokumentas dar žiūrėk – kandidatinė versija dar žiūrėk – laida dar žiūrėk – programinė įranga siauresnis terminas – demonstracinė versija siauresnis terminas – laikinoji versija siauresnis terminas – mažoji versija siauresnis terminas – registruotoji versija siauresnis terminas – testuojamoji versija susijęs terminas – versijos žyma
